What causes basement rebuilds in Mississauga?

Mississauga has seen several severe summer storms, including the July 8, 2013 storm that dropped more than 120 mm of rain in a few hours and flooded thousands of basements across Mississauga and Etobicoke. Neighbourhoods near Cooksville Creek and other creek systems are the most exposed to sewer surcharge during storms like that.

Because repeat events are a real possibility in those areas, we rebuild lower levels with water-tolerant materials and recommend a backwater valve before finishes go in.

What should I expect in a 1970s Mississauga home?

A large share of Mississauga was built between the late 1960s and the 1980s. Homes from that period often have aluminum wiring, original cast iron or ABS drains, and Poly-B supply lines in the later years. Semi-detached and townhouse layouts are common in Meadowvale and Erin Mills, where shared walls need fire-rated repairs.

What work do we do most often in Mississauga?

Who issues building permits in Mississauga?

Which Mississauga neighbourhoods do we serve?

All of Mississauga, including Port Credit, Streetsville, Erin Mills, Meadowvale, Clarkson, Lorne Park, Cooksville and Churchill Meadows.
